WormyJungle and Segmental Worms

Life is an extremely interesting thing. Researchers try to understand it, approaching the phenomena of life from different directions. They are finding way into human brain, penetrate with genes, or make attempts to understand financial flows. All above are "top-level" things, high aerobatics.

The Way of WormyJungle is much more simple. The software deals with very-very trivial segmental worms. It's hard to believe how simple they are.

See Fig.1 below. It shows the subject of the mission.

Next picture (Fig.2) demonstrates internal of the segmental worm, photographed with x-rays. The worm really looks very simple and consists of stomach, some tiny brains and a lot of invisible, but very strong muscles.

WormyJungle is software simulator of population of these perfect creatures. Current version deals with only one brain, positioned not far from the tail. This brain controls locomotion and change of color. In return, with the aid of WormyJungle you can simulate segmental worm's mutations related to motion and coloring. Change worms properties, and then watch behavior of new worm's breed. If you are not satisfied with results, manipulate parameters while you get the breed of segmental worms good enough for you.

In the future with more advanced versions of WormyJungle, we will probably touch more complicated things hidden in remaining brains and other parts.
